Zenaida Gallardo has 16 years of educational experience. She started her career as a teacher in Los Angeles and then moved back home to Kern County to continue her teaching career. She taught in the Mcfarland Unified School District, Grimmway Academy-Arvin, and Greenfield Union School District. In the Greenfield Union School District, she became a teacher mentor, summer Migrant coach, and Curriculum Specialist. In all these experiences, she championed for all students and teachers to see themselves as mathematicians. She has taken her love and passion for mathematics to the university setting as an adjunct instructor at CSUB, where she teaches the Math Methods and Assessment course. She is currently a Math Coordinator at Kern County Superintendent of Schools where she enjoys collaborating with teachers and administrators across the county to help every child in Kern County find joy in doing mathematics.Â
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and reading.
